Life Coaching - An Overview

The coaching services I offer can be done over the phone (remotely) or face-to-face (if you are located in the Dallas area). I specialize in coaching women and do not have an age limit to those I coach -- my clients range from 11 to 56 years old! I can help with all kinds of skills related to life, spirituality, relationships, finances, organization, communication, confidence, friendship, health and wellness, self-care, and more!

What Do Coaches Do? 

Coaches stimulate vision, cultivate skills, guide growth, offer accountability, provide encouragement, and more. Coaching is centered on the client and directed by goals. Each coaching relationship is unique, but the process is similar: exploring the change, becoming aware of the present, developing a vision, brainstorming the goals, preparing for obstacles, and evaluating growth. Your coaching experience should be tailored to you -- on what you want to work on and work toward. 

How is Coaching Different from Counseling? 

Coaching is less about problem-solving and recovering from past trauma. Instead, it is more focused on taking you from where you are now to where you want to be. Coaching involves a lot of goal-setting, uncovering potential, determining dreams, building vision, and increasing accountability. Coaching is not for people who need therapy to work through painful events from their past, but for relatively well-adjusted individuals who are working toward a personally curated future. 

Who Benefits from Coaching?

In short, everyone can benefit from coaching! Coaching helps people who want to get unstuck, build their confidence, expand their vision for the future, fulfill their dreams, unlock their potential, increase their skills, move through transitions, and take practical steps toward their goals (Collins, 2009). If you feel stuck in any way, lacking confidence in your skills/abilities, unsure of what you are working toward, considering some sort of life transition... you may benefit from hiring a life coach!
